About the Company
Kamran Mahbobi
Cofounder and Managing Director of MaXentric Technologies LLC, Kamran Mahbobi is responsible for setting the company's product development and portfolio strategies, as well as managing MaXentric's services operations. He has over seventeen years of experience in the design and development of wireless communication systems and technical research of advanced communications.
Most recently, Kamran served as the Chief Technology Officer of Tetra Tech Wireless, the wireless engineering division of Tetra Tech Inc. (NASDAQ: TTEK). He was also a cofounder of eXpert Wireless Solutions, a wireless engineering company acquired by Tetra Tech. Kamran's responsibilities included the oversight of wireless technology R&D and hardware and software product development and support. In addition, he led the technical consulting group of Tetra Tech Wireless, which offered RF planning, program management and system optimization services in all aspects of wireless communications. Prior to forming eXpert, Kamran served as Staff Director, Technology Planning for NYNEX Mobile Communications.
In 1997, Kamran was awarded the prestigious E&Y Entrepreneur of the Year award in New Jersey for his exceptional achievements as an entrepreneur. Kamran has a Bachelor and Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art. He is also a candidate for a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering at Columbia University.
Houman Ghajari
Director of Government Systems and Technology at MaXentric Technologies LLC, Houman Ghajari is responsible for setting the company’s government business strategies, as well as managing MaXentric’s government operations. He has over five years of experience in the design and development of wireless communication systems and technical research of advanced communications.
Houman has been involved in research and design of wireless communication systems including studies on wireless communication transceivers. His main area of expertise is RF front-end designs. Currently, he is involved in the design and creation of a V-band Wireless LAN system. In the past, he was engaged in a project involving the research and design of a transceiver for a 28 GHz based LMDS system. This project addressed different transceiver architectures for LMDS with related design of CMOS based RF components. In this field, he has also completed projects in a full design of CMOS technology based RF components for a 2 GHz based transceiver.
Houman has a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with a Minor in Mathematics from San Jose State University. He received his Master’s in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of California, San Diego.
